Alarm delivery is still in development

Live Telnyx voice (2026-08-11) and SMS (2026-08-19, from +18887540480) canaries passed on the Railway origin under notify_only. Paging, siren, and autonomous dispatch are not yet proven end to end. Do not rely on AXWEL as your only alarm or life-safety notification channel. Keep your existing monitoring or dispatch arrangement in place.

Alarm delivery is still in development

Contacts and escalation configured here can receive live Telnyx SMS and voice under notify_only (voice canary 2026-08-11; SMS canary 2026-08-19 from +18887540480). Paging, siren, and autonomous dispatch remain unproven — keep an independent alarm or monitoring channel in place.

Column mapping

Match each required AXWEL field to a column from your sample. Not needed for JSON push or agent DB rows that already use canonical field names.

Store timezone

Naive POS timestamps (PHP POS DATETIME, CSV without an offset) are read in this zone. Eastern stores must not stay on UTC or checkout clips and visitor conversion miss by hours.

Register cameras

A register with no camera still imports, but gets no clip, face, or journey linking.

Calls

MightyCall sync, transcripts, retail sentiment review, and recording playback. First sync backfills the last 72 hours. This list defaults to today’s calls — choose Yesterday or Custom to change the range. The top-bar time window does not apply here.

Accounts

In MightyCall go to Settings → API. Copy “API Key for your account” below, then the “User Key” of the extension you want to sync. MightyCall has no separate secret — the User Key is it, and the extension number works in its place.

Staff

Coaching exceptions, scores, and flagged interactions.

Employee suggestions

Faces seen at the register during a completed sale. Confirm a name to label them employee:Name and exclude them from doorway visitor counts. Dismiss leaves them as visitors.

Policy write-ups

Issue a clip-backed notice, email the employee, and keep open/click confirmation.

New write-up

Mark the start and stop of the footage to attach. The email includes a private link to that clip.

Live view, recording state, zones, clips, and camera controls.

Detection Zones

Draw a box on the camera, then enable only the monitoring checks that matter there. Visitor journeys can start at an entry zone or by person identification.

Teach AXWEL

What your team has taught this store's AXWEL — corrections, reviews, docs, and flags — and how it's tuned as a result. The more you use it, the more it fits this store.

Suggested watches

Active monitors

Confirmed watches and their current duration/evaluation state.

Evidence search

Semantic search across incidents, transcripts, reviews, ops issues, and AI artifacts. Reranked when a reranker is configured.

Fireworks cloud allocation

This account must be opted into AXWEL's Fireworks spend share before scene understanding and other cloud AI features can run. This is separate from your fireworks.ai billing balance.

Open this tab to load allocation status and budget editors. If scene understanding is blocked, click Enable above.

AI cost cockpit

Internal AI spend reconciled against Fireworks billing. Each refresh queries a billing API, so it runs only when you click Refresh.

Ops Copilot

Ask the operations copilot. Each answer runs a cloud model and may call tools, so it fires only when you send.

Operations controls

Locations and camerasAssign sites and manage discovered devices

Integrations

Link a Nest Google account, discover cameras, enable WEB_RTC or RTSP streams via go2rtc, and optionally backfill Nest Aware history.

Locations

A location is the site a camera belongs to (one per store or entrance), not the Nest camera's Google name. Add one here, then pick it in the Location dropdown on a camera below and click Save location. Use Save name on a location row to rename the site — that does not change the Location ID or the camera name. Installing an edge agent is separate — use Admin → Agents when you have a device to enroll.

Nest cameras

Nest connection and historyCredentials, OAuth, and optional backfill

Nest setup

Sign-in uses Google Device Access (Sandbox is enough; “Apply for commercial development” is optional). Cameras must be migrated to the Google Home app. Battery cameras stream over WEB_RTC and the older wired line over RTSP; go2rtc restreams either.

  1. Enable the Smart Device Management API.
  2. Create an OAuth 2.0 Web application client in Google Cloud Credentials. Set the consent screen to In Production (Testing refresh tokens expire in ~7 days).
  3. In the Device Access Console, create a project (one-time $5 fee), link that OAuth client, and copy the Device Access Project ID (a UUID like 32c4c2bc-fe0d-461b-b51c-f3885afff2f0 — not your Google Cloud project ID).
  4. Paste Client ID, Client secret, and Project ID below → Save credentials.
  5. Use the OAuth helper to copy the Google auth URL, approve access in your browser for the Nest Google account, then Discover Nest cameras and Enable each camera.

Official Device Access get-started guide

Advanced (optional Pub/Sub)

Stored for future event wiring. Not required for discovery, live view, or recording.

OAuth helper

  1. Add the Redirect URI below as an authorized redirect URI on your OAuth Web client (exact match, including trailing / if present). For the simplest flow you can use https://www.google.com in both places.
  2. Click Copy Google auth URL, paste the link into your browser, and approve Nest/Device Access access for the Google account that owns the cameras. The URL path must contain your Device Access UUID (/partnerconnections/<uuid>/auth).
  3. On the Nest permissions (PCM) screen, turn on your home and each camera/doorbell you want AXWEL to see, then continue. A 403 on discovery usually means those toggles were left off.
  4. Google redirects to that URI with ?code=... in the address bar. Paste either the bare code value or the whole redirect URL into Authorization code (codes are single-use — get a fresh one if exchange fails).
  5. Click Exchange code — AXWEL stores the refresh token and automatically discovers cameras.

Historical backfill

Nest Aware history has no API. Use this only when you need recent clips imported onto the AXWEL timeline:

  1. Create run — makes an inbox folder + manifest (leave Run ID blank to auto-generate).
  2. Task spec — copy the generated instructions into Claude in Chrome while signed into home.google.com to download clips into the run inbox.
  3. Validate — checks downloaded files against the manifest.
  4. Ingest — moves validated clips into recordings so they appear on the normal timeline.
FTP-only camerasCameras that can only push video over FTP/FTPS

FTP ingest

Add a camera from the Cameras page to get a unique username and show-once password. Point the camera at the host and port shown here, use PASV, prefer FTPS, and date folders YYYY-MM-DD.

Device Recovery

System-admin custody controls for orphaned or decommissioned edge devices.

Recovery tools

Compliance
